Subscribing to a blog simply means you’ll be updated by either email or RSS when new content is published.
See over there on the right? There are 2 options. Subscribing by email means we’ll notify you each fortnight when we post our feature article. We’ll be posting a lot more than that but we don’t want to bombard your Inbox.
If you subscribe via RSS you’ll be able to see every new post in real time as they are published live to the site.
To subscribe by Email
Simply enter your email address in the ‘Subscribe By Email’ form and click ‘Send’. You will be sent a confirmation email to that address. You will not be subscribed until you click on the Confirmation link supplied in that email. This is an anti-spam measure to ensure it’s actually a human who entered the email address.
To un-subscribe, enter your email address, choose the unsusbscribe option and click Send. You will again receive a confirmation email and you’ll need to click on the confirmation link to complete the request.
To Subscribe by RSS
This is our favourite option. Why?
Because:
- You receive updates of every post published
- Those updates are received in real-time
- It won’t clog your already crowded Inbox
There are also dedicated online RSS Readers such as Netvibes, PageFlakes and Google Reader.
