Welcome back and I hope that you are brimming with ideas and inspiration for learning in your classes in ‘09.

Hopefully, you are considering using blogs in your classes this year. It may be to help provide information to your students (far more noble, than giving the photocopier a workout) or you may have witnessed your students champing at the bit to get their own blogs.

Through the great, award-winning, copy write Free Technology for Teachers blog that I subscribe to, I came across a great unit outline that is relevant to anyone, at any year level (although it has been designed for primary teachers). In particular, it supports educators with lesson plans to provide a safe and productive learning environment where students have their own blogs. The PDF document is really a consolidation of Silvia Tolisano blog articles on her own experience in using blogs in the classroom. Check it out!
