A quick tech news update…

No doubt you’re aware of the popularity of the iPhone. It’s no surprise, it’s ground breaking. The iPhone however is not just a phone, the touch screen technology is a fraction of what makes it unique. It’s operating system is a platform for developers all over the world to write new programs to sell or give away for use on the phone via the App Store.

So Apple are making huge waves in the great mobile phone industry, but wait, who’s that other giant approaching?!

It’s none other than the big G, Google.

Meet the G-phone. I’d imagine it’ll be quite a while before we see it on Australia’s shores, but it’s recently moved from speculation to reality, going on sale today in Britain and pre-order’s have already sold out.

Powered by Google’s own mobile operating system called Android, like the iPhone, 3rd party developer’s will be able to develop applications which will run on the phone.
